www.jctimagesireland.com is the portfolio website of John Christopher Treacy

Artists don’t usually follow the same career path as other professionals, John was no different in that regard. Worked in IT, computer repairs and networking, has a certificate among a whole host of others in Cloud computing.  It was on this part of the journey he became proficient in design technology software including, WordPress and Adobe Photoshop.

John’s artistic career and love of life and the arts started in secondary school with days spent drawing and sketching the very famous Irish landmarks: Lismore Castle, Blackrock Castle, Rock Of Cashel. He then began playing music, songwriting, poetry, recording and always possessed a strong sense and love of artistry and forward-thinking, all his experiences culminating to express these in Digital Art Form. That passion and love of life is now consistently displayed in his music and art pieces.

But life hasn’t always been easy and very fragmented at times trying to determine what path to take. This he portrays very well in one digital art piece called:

“Musicians Fragmentation”

Here he expresses his fragmented life at times drifting in and out of his artistic side away from what he calls, ordinary work, which he reluctantly had to do, but was necessary at times to make a living.

A portfolio of varied accomplishments including, the establishment of www.irishcards.ie a very successful greeting card business. This business originated out of true Irish spirit, his love of Ireland and the apparent lack of unique Irish made cards missing in the market.

How brilliant it is four years on to see his cards being stocked in shops, tourist outlets, post offices and selling online.

“There is no point complaining about the competition, you just have to be stronger, different and better”.
